Manuscript notes on back "… in one cupboard one of the conspirators finding Miles was arrested hanged himself". Miles Syndercombe plotted to assassinate Oliver Cromwell as he journeyed from Hampton Court to London passing through Hammersmith. The house allegedly used by the conspirators was situated near the corner of Shepherds Bush Green and Goldhawk Road.
