Getting here:

• We are about a 3 minute walk from Hammersmith Underground Station (District and Piccadilly lines)
• Buses stopping near the library: 72, 220, 283, 295

Before visiting:

• Check that we are open.
• Please order archives at least one week in advance - by 5pm on a Tuesday for the following week.
• Bring a pencil - we ask our customers to use pencils when taking notes.
• a £1 coin for the locker - we ask our customer to place all bags in lockers.

Facilities

• Hammersmith Library is fully accessible. There is a lift to the 1st floor Local Studies and Archives searchroom.
• Refreshment facilities are available nearby on Shepherds Bush Road or Hammersmith Underground Station.
• Free Wi-Fi and use of computers. You may plug in your laptop.
• Microform reader/printers and a photocopier.
• Free access to Ancestry.
