Replies to enquiry: Faulkner in "History of Fulham", quoting Burney's "History of Music" iii, 248, states that Anastasia Robinson retired from stage-career and came to Parsons Green in 1723. Rate books first refer to Mrs Robinson in 1724, but to Mr Robinson in 1725; both names appear subsequently until a final reference to Mrs Robinson in 1729. First reference to Lord Peterborough occurs in 1724. Amount of assessment suggests large house. Faulkner, qouting Sir John Hawkins' "History of Music" refers to musical parties held there frequented 'by all the fashionable world' |
