| Description | The memorials made to his Lordship and to Colonel Wood were made on public grounds, although Sir John Philippart and Mr Bird will greatly appreciate the honour of being Justices of the Peace. Hopes that the favour may be accomplished through His Lordship but mentions other sources of influence which can be mobilised. Is anxious to assist the Conservative Party in any way, and feels that its present weakness in the magistracy is disadvantageous.
