| Description | Thanks Sir John on behalf of the Duke of Kent for his letter and enclosures of 25 May, which the Duke only received on his recent return to England. The Duke will read the Memoir and History of the Royal Scots as soon as he is able. He will now remain in England for a time and will arrange to receive Sir John in the near future.
