Has painted no outstanding pictures since moving but has done some portraits and pictures of Oxford colleges and is engaged on some flower pictures. Feels that at 72 he must make way for younger men painting in 'futurism' or other unintelligible 'ism'. Commends attempt to collect pictures of old Hammersmith and Chiswick. Promises to send account of painting of the Lord Mayor's Show at the Guildhall |
