Thanks Sir William Bull for sending the record of the 1300th anniversary dinner which he will place in his copy of Feret. Two days later was 'engaged in the like custom at Christ Church, Oxford' where he used to be chaplain. Will be resigning and leaving his present house in less than a month owing to ill-health and will live with his sister at the Rookery, Frensham, Farnham [Surrey]. Is busy preparing for a sale, mainly of books. Congratulates Sir William Bull on his 'recent fresh dignity'. Hopes to complete "Pontissara's Winchester Register"
