| Description | Letter from Cha[rle]s J[ames] Feret, Ye Olde Curiosity Shoppe, 25 Northdown Road, Margate to Sir William Bull
Thanks Sir William Bull for his letter. 'The whole of the blocks' were left with the Leadenhall Press, who would presumably lend them to Sir William Bull if he wrote. His friend Andrew Tuer FSA was managing director of the firm and this is why they were commissioned to publish "Fulham Old and New". Tuer died on the eve of publication and his nephew who succeeded him 'served me very badly, taking advanatge of the fact that I had no properly executed agreement'. The originals of the views in the book at Fulham Public library together with other photographs of Arundel House which were not used. Is pleased to hear Sir William Bull will be visiting Margate at the weekend |
