Thanks for copy of parliamentary debate. "We are very anxious to have a talk with you about the future of the Women's Suffrage Bill in Parliament". Invites him to luncheon "next Sunday". Mrs Pankhurst will be present. Will leave about 3 pm for a meeting in Hyde Park where she and Mrs Pankhurst are to speak. Is glad that the I[ndependent] L[abour] P[arty] has given its support at Derby conference

Thanks for letter of sympathy on death of her husband. Now nearly 30 years since "he first opened his workshop in this little house on the river". Remembers his co-operation in the making of the Golden Book. He had been ailing for some time owing to heart weakness, but died peacefully.

Thanks for letter of sympathy on death of mother (see DD/375/1/70). She was very ill for 3 days and died peacefully. She never really recovered from her husband's death and an 8-month stay in America overtaxed her strength
