The list of signatures includes many well-known electors of Hammersmith, but no general canvass has been attempted- quality rather than quantity. Feels that the Reform Bill which has been introduced since the last reading of the [Franchise and Registration] Bill, with its proposal for an increased male electorate, makes the exclusion of women even more 'conspicuously unjust and inexpedient'.
