Understands that Sir William Bull would like details of the Albion Congregational church before coming to open the proposed sale of work. It is difficult to provide many details of the church's history as few records survive. So far as is known the church never had an endowment and has relied on voluntary contributions. The church is at present in debt but large-scale fund raising has been put off because of the onset of war- the sale of work has been arranged to pay off a pressing debt caused by the need for repairs to the church roof
