| Description | Enclosed in DD/375/1/82/1 Copy letter from [The Western Exits-of-London Society] to [Alderman Samuels and others]
Wishes to impress on Fulham council the need to induce the traffic authorities to construct the Cromwell Road Bridge as the basis for traffic improvement in west London. Is taking a deputation to Fulham council on 21 December to point out again the Society's scheme for a "Y" shaped bridge at Cromwell Road which would combine the merits of the 2 schemes which the authorities are now considering. Will ask the council to pass a resolution urging the adoption of the Society's scheme, and to accept a petition signed by 20,000 residents and workers of Fulham. "It would greatly strengthen the deputation if you would consent to join it as representing the Hammersmith Committee" |
